In 2008, Jasmine was introduced to Yoga when she was working in Vietnam. Like many others, she was having many doubts – Can Yoga really bring health, peace, happiness, love, trust & self-confidence? However, as she continued her practice, the pain in her lower back, knee & ankles were greatly improved. Jasmine used to have very bad sinus, and it was under control. Besides physical benefits, she also begin to experience the uniting of the breath, body and mind. In 2013, Jasmine decided to take up the 200 hours teachers training program in India (Rishikesh Yog Peeth) to deepen her practice. And earlier this year I completed another 300 hours of teachers training program in Singapore (Tirisula Yoga). Jasmine also attended workshops conducted by James Murphy (Director of Iyengar Yoga Institute of New York) and Zubin Zarthoshtimanesh (Iyengar Yogabhyasa in Mumbai, India). Now that Jasmine has benefited so much from Yoga, she would like to share my experience about Yoga with everyone. She belief Yoga has something for everyone both on the mat and off the mat. She would like to share with everyone how Yoga is happening in every single moment of our life. She is currently a yoga teacher in Singapore. She teachers private 1-1, small group students. She also teachers in companies and schools.

Pek Yew’s journey with yoga began in 2008, when the liberating and balancing benefits she enjoyed from the practice inspired her to make yoga an integral part of her life. In 2010, she took up True Yoga’s 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training Course, accredited by the International Yoga Alliance, studying the philosophy, physiology and anatomy of yoga with a team of experienced teachers including Stephen Thomas, Matthew Sweeney and Simon Bourg Oliver. To continue her exploration and deepen my studies, Pek Yew has also attended workshops with prominent teachers such as Stephen Thomas, Kino MacGregor and Chuck Miller. In April 2013, she further advanced her 100 hrs of Ashtanga Teacher Training Course with Chuck Miller. She is especially drawn to the dynamism, fluidity and self-discipline of Ashtanga Vinyasa yoga. While Ashtanga builds a strong and steady mind and body, Pek Yew seek solace in the serenity of Yin yoga, which delves into the deep layers of tissues in body, finding softness in our inner world. Her goal is to teach from her level of practice with sincerity and share with fellow practitioners how to practise safely and inculcate mindfulness in every breath and asana. Ultimately, to help one see movement in stillness and find stillness in movement.
